Rheumatoid Arthritis

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disease in which various joints in the body are inflamed, leading to joint destruction.

Who is at risk?
Unlike wear-and-tear arthritis that often comes with old age, rheumatoid arthritis can affect anyone at any age. Majority of rheumatoid arthritis cases start at a time when one has many family and career commitments, between ages 20 and 40.

What are the symptoms?
Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis may include:
  • Joint pain and swelling
  • Morning stiffness of the joints
  • Firm bumps under the skin on your arms
  • Fatigue
  • Fever

If left ignored, join destruction begins. Rheumatoid arthritis first affects joints in your wrists, hands, ankles and feet, and progresses to the shoulders, elbows, knees, hips, jaw and neck. It may further affect your skin, eyes, lungs, heart, blood or nerves.

How does rheumatoid arthritis impact us?
Apart from possible disfigurement of affected joints, daily activities can become very difficult or impossible to handle. The deformity, pain and fatigue may lower our work productivity. Depression can result from such emotional stress.

TerraFlex deactivates destructive response, hence reduces and prevents joint destruction, allowing rebuilding of joint. Do consult your doctor about it!
