Why does this Panadol act faster?
If we look at the label of this panadol, the small prints say its "fast, soothing relief from colds." Why is pain-reliever more effective, faster and better? Why? wHy? WHY???
If we look at the contents of a satchet,
Paracetamol 750mg,
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 10mg,
Vitamin C 60mg
-------per 5g sachet.
Gosh! A standard tablet of panadol purchased from a clinic contains 500mg of paracetamol, we usually advised patients to consume 2 tablets, up to 4 times a day, that's 1g consumed..
If you consume this sachet of panadol, I cannot understand how and why it will work any faster......
Headache? Just pop any 2 panadol tablets... it won’t be faster than other Panadol.

Constipation and Bisacodyl
What is bisacodyl?
Bisacodyl - Also known as Dulcolax, is administered for the relief of constipation.

Me: "Er, let me check with the doctor first."
Me: "Doctor! Bisacodyl can take 2 tablets?"
Doc: "Can, but some people take 2 tablet will have diarrhoea, so I gave 1 only"
Me: "Uncle, doctor said can, but some ppl take 2 tablet will have diarrhoea so he gave 1 only"
Uncle pissed: "Huh? This medicine is for diarrhoea one wad, 你会不会的。。?!!"
Me: "Huh?? No no this medicine is for 便秘 (constipation), not for diarrhoea!!" (Then on 2nd thoughts this medicine for people with difficulty in passing motion and hence supposed to induce stools out of body......... So in other words, you can say its for diarrhoea.. Not to stop diarrhoea but to induce diarrhoea. And so that was what he meant. But aiya too late, cannot take back my words....)
Uncle shouting already: "It's the SAME WHAT!!! So 2 tablet can or not?!?!"
ME gets angry: "(insists) Uncle! Constipation and diarrhoea are different!! YES I already said you can take 2 tablets!!!"
Uncle: "HAIYER!" and stomped off.

Bisacodyl usually instructed to be taken 1 - 2 tab at night/bed time, because of the long onset of the drug when administered orally. Medicine requires 6 - 10 hours to take effect.
Some doctors prefers to give as enema (a procedure of introducing liquids into the rectum and colon via the anus), bowel movement usually occurs in 5 to 20 minutes. Enema Fleet (=bisacodyl) can be purchased from any pharmacy without a doctor's prescription.
Note: Do not give antacids or dairy products within 1 hr of taking the drug!
